Prescott Addition Expands QC Office Impact
Although QC Office – the social enterprise arm of Quality Connections – is based in Flagstaff, it has customers all over the state.
It is an official supplier of Ink and toner and other office supplies to the state of Arizona, where we have a long-standing “state set-aside” contract for printer supplies.
And many other organizations and businesses choose to work with us because of the many benefits QC offers its customers, such as no sales tax on purchases and free delivery.
Now, we’ll be expanding our impact in the Quad Cities region through our acquisition of a local company, A1 Office Supplies in Prescott. Orders for A1 Office Supply customers will be handled through our Flagstaff office, but for local deliveries in the Prescott region, QC Office has partnered with Yavapai Exceptional Industries (YEI), another certified nonprofit agency serving individuals with disabilities.
This partnership is not new — in fact, QC Office and YEI have worked together for over a decade. But with QC Office’s acquisition of A1 Office, that collaboration is now growing in exciting new ways.
According to YEI’s Director of Industrial Services, Justin Bahnsen, 18 individuals are now helping to deliver QC Office products throughout the Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, and Dewey-Humboldt areas.
“This renewal of the partnership has offered an opportunity for our guys and gals to participate in deliveries every day of the week that we’re open,” he explained. “It’s provided daily work opportunities for us — and in a way that allows our people to get out in the community more, which they absolutely love.”
YEI’s team members work from all three of the organization’s locations, with the Eastridge site managing most of the delivery operations. Beyond QC Office, YEI also collaborates with other local businesses, providing services from order fulfillment to crafting patio furniture.
“The QC partnership gives us a great opportunity to do more direct delivery work and build those customer service skills,” Justin said. “Many of our folks already have great customer service skills; it’s just a matter of refining them. They love to work and love variety, and this has allowed us to provide another avenue of employment for them.”
From Flagstaff to Prescott and beyond, QC Office’s statewide network of partner agencies helps ensure that every sale, delivery, and customer interaction provides more than just office supplies — it provides opportunity.
“Working with organizations like YEI allows us to expand both our reach and our impact,” said David Smith, Director of QC Office. “Every new partnership and every new customer translates into more meaningful work for individuals with disabilities across Arizona.”
As QC Office continues to grow, the focus remains the same: building connections, empowering individuals, and demonstrating that inclusive employment is good business for everyone.
