Quality Connections Employment Services
A Path to Meaningful Employment
Having a disability doesn’t mean giving up on finding a job or pursuing a fulfilling career. It’s simply a challenge that can be addressed with the right resources and support.
Beyond a paycheck, work provides dignity, friendships, and a valued role in society for all of us.
Whether physical, developmental, or behavioral, a disability shouldn’t limit your opportunities for meaningful employment.
Quality Connections programs help individuals with disabilities identify their career goals, develop resumes, practice interview techniques, and receive ongoing support after securing employment.
We offer both group supportive employment and individual employment opportunities.
These services are funded through state programs and are offered at no cost to eligible individuals with disabilities.
QC Employment Services in 7 Steps
Step 1: Eligibility and Access – Quality Connections assists individuals with diverse disabilities, including physical, cognitive, developmental, or behavioral health challenges. Accessing these services begins with a referral from the Arizona Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA), a division of the Department of Economic Security.
Step 2: Personalized Support – No two individuals are the same, and neither are their employment journeys. Our process begins with an initial assessment to evaluate readiness for the workplace. From there, we provide tailored training to address gaps in soft skills such as task and time management, communication, and interpersonal relationships.
Step 3: Exploring Careers and Addressing Barriers – We work with clients to identify their interests and any barriers to employment. Whether transitioning to a related field after an injury or exploring new opportunities through shadowing and internships, we guide clients toward meaningful careers. Common barriers we address include:
- Physical challenges
- Need for additional education or training
- Workforce reentry anxiety
- Transportation solutions
Step 4: Job Readiness Training – We empower individuals to advocate for themselves by teaching them how to communicate their accommodation needs effectively. Building this confidence is a vital step in securing and thriving in a job.
Step 5: Connecting with Employers – Our clients create resumes, cover letters, and complete job applications with assistance tailored to their needs. Our team supports clients in their job search while fostering independence.
Step 6: Interviewing with Confidence – Job Coaches can attend interviews as moral support or help answer questions if needed. This ensures our clients approach interviews with confidence and clarity.
Step 7: Post-Hiring Support – Our support doesn’t end with a job offer. Job Coaches continue to visit the workplace to ensure a good fit for both the employee and employer. This ongoing partnership helps guarantee long-term success.
